Isn't Washington injured?

Washington appears to be fine, he was out for a few plays against Millbrook but played the full game against Liberty. Power RB Doleman did not dress against Liberty, I do not have information on if he will be available for the game Saturday. Sherando has 2 backs to account for, Washington and Doleman, when healthy, as well as, a versatile QB that can run the draw or use a multitude of receivers. These offenses almost mirror each other, I’m hoping for a great game!

Another similarity is that Salem lost to Blacksburg earlier 49-12 and avenged that in playoffs 33-32. Sherando lost to Liberty 31-28 but avenged that loss in playoffs 33-21.

The most points Sherando has given up in a game this season is 32 (to Millbrook in Region 4C Semifinal win 35-32. That was the second time they had played. The Warriors only gave up 22 in the first game (35-22 win) in Week 9 and those points were scored in the 4th quarter when Sherando was well ahead. Both games were at Millbrook. Gave up 31 to Liberty in regular season loss and 31 to Martinsburg in regular season loss. Gave up only 10 points to a bigger Dominion team (27-10 Region 4C Quarterfinal win) Warrior defense isn't huge but they are fast and disciplined. They beat Liberty by 12 without the Northwestern District Defensive Player of the Year Jo Jo Doleman who left Millbrook regional game with 9 minutes left in 1st quarter with leg injury. Liberty was pretty much one dimensional (just 17 yards passing) and Sherando made two 4th down goal line stands inside their five yard line. Defense has forced 35 turnovers this season.

One fast fact is Blacksburg gave up no offensive touchdowns to first two playoff opponents Jefferson Forest and EC Glass but Salem scored five.

Sherando will have a tough time winning Friday night , got a few banged up.
But it’s a good season no matter what happens , about what I expected this year. Good luck warriors!

Should be close hard fought hard hitting game. Will Salem have an advantage in the kicking game? They have all year so far, could be the difference.
