Did anyone see this scrimmage last week? I was told Musselman rolled Sherando pretty good.

I wasn't there and heard it from a Sherando hater. That is why I am trying to verify the validity of it.

I was there, here is what I saw.
1's against 1's both teams scored one touchdown.
Mussleman 1's against Sherando 2's Mussleman = 1-0
Then the teams went down and distance for two series, Sherando 2-1.
Mussleman unleashed there total arsenal, Sherando would never do that in a scrimmage. Mussleman Wanted to win a scrimmage, Sherando wanted to evaluate players. Sherando ran one defensive formation the whole scrimmage, had multiple players coming in and out even with the 1's.
Take it for what you want . Just a little tidbit, Mussleman has never " rolled " Sherando . Whatever that means.

I thought both QB's starters for both teams spinned the ball well, it was such a controlled scrimmage though so lot to be seen yet. From a Sherando point of view it was a very generic version of the offense, I don't think Rivers even lined up at QB one time and he will some. Lots of good things from both teams, but lots to work on also.

Thanks again.

Also heard that Entsminger is ultra gifted athlete and will win the QB job? Barb is pretty smart, won't make many mistakes, and is very serviceable if they need him?

Is that a fair assessment?

sounds like somebody has it figured out, I like both kids a lot.

Musselman is supposed to have a good team this year, so I imagine their coaches want their guys to believe in their potential early on. I wasn't at the scrimmage, but in some of the footage I saw it didn't look like Sherando was playing to win.

IT'S A CONTROLLED SCRIMMAGE! You guys make WAY too much out of it.

You can catch some glimpses but Game 1 is where it starts. The good programs WILL produce. Easier schedules WILL produce contenders. The playoffs is where the chaff falls away. Most of the time, it's just a dominant team that wins a State Championship and is head and shoulders above the rest. Sometimes, it's just a few breaks and some good luck. That's why all the good programs work so hard. Because the harder they work, the luckier they seem to get.

Keep your " you guys" to the proper posters lol. I have been saying that all along.

When it comes to scrimmages I just remember the 2008 Lions season where they went 4-0 in the preseason and 0-16 when it came to the games that mattered.

New England Patriots did something similar. 0 - 4 pre-season. Won the Super Bowl. And frankly, the Patriots lose almost all their pre-season games since Belichick. They will also go on to barely miss a beat during Tom Brady's 4 game absence this year.

Pre-season scrimmages are more dramatically deceiving than revealing.

George was 1st teAm all ACC last season at FB, he will be a sophomore. Mr entsminger has a bright future , he has a lot of untapped talent as a sophomore
The kid can lay a lick on you. He's perfect for his role at Pitt. GL to him.
