I was at the game Friday night and it was a good game up until about 4 minutes to go in 2nd quarter. Sherando had to punt at midfield and for some reason did a fake punt and they didn't make it. Then a couple minutes later they fumble and give Fort Hill a short field to work with and just like that it's 28-14 instead of 14-14. On the ensuing drive Entsminger get's hurt right at the half and doesn't play 2nd half. The QB for Sherando is a player and it was a big dropoff when he was out. The 2nd half Fort Hill dominated because they're good and also because Sherando QB was out. I loved the atmosphere and the fans were nice just rooting for their team. I did notice Fort Hill expects to win no matter who they play that goes for the fans and the players. The best player on the field was Rivers he had some monster hits but they need to use him more offensively. I would love to see Fort Hill play Appomattox a team similar in size.

Have to disagree a bit. Wasn't impressed at all by Rivers. Aside from a couple of nice hits he was handled easily by the Fort Hill linemen and backs. This was pretty evident by watching a replay of the game this morning. And the Sherando series after the fake punt ended up in a blocked punt, not a fumble, buy the player who was the best defensive player that night, #63 Brayden Conley. I would love the series to continue but I understand it would have to be earlier in the season from here on. Hopefully they can match open dates.

Well since you watched the film and determined Conley the better player I'll go with your opinion instead of mine and D1 SCOUTS!...Where is Conley going to school? He is a good player but the best player on the field was Rivers...MY OPINION!

All people have to do is watch the replay and decide for themselves who the better team with better athletes were.. If the score of the game and amount of kids sitting on the sideline due to the physical nature of that game is any indication, then the resounding answer is Fort Hill. The only person that stood out for Sherando was their running back Washington? He looked like the only kid that could match FH's athleticism... Everyone else looked to me like they were stuck in cement. The only plays where River's stood out was when he scored on a 11 yd. run. When he dropped a wide open touchdown pass (probably could be attributed to the hit he took earlier), when he committed a false start, the face mask penalty he committed, when he had his punt blocked, when he got stuffed on a fake punt, and when he took a big hit by FH's safety on a short pass play.. If you have any other instances that support your assertion that he was the best player on the field please do share. I think #2 #10 #4 #5 and #63 for FH along with the Washington kid for Sherando all had better games... But its understandable that Sherando fans would try and mitigate the damage.

I am sure Mr. Rivers is a fine player, but I would think he has played better than what he showed on Friday. Not sure about what schools are after Conley, but I do know he was invited to play in an All American game in Florida after the season.
