The Skyline girls basketball team was victorious on Tuesday night with a 58 to 52 victory over the Clarke County Eagles. Jillian Shannon led all scorers with 23 points and Jamie Kelly had 16 points and also 6 rebounds for the Hawks. The Hawks only had a 3 point lead at the end of the 1st quarter 14 to 11 and Jamie Kelly had 10 of the hawks 14 points in that quarter. Skyline only carried a 2 point lead into the half 29-27, but then really stretched things out in the 3rd quarter as they outscored Clarke County 17 to 6. Jillian Shannon scored many of her points in that quarter. Leading the way for Clarke County was Kaiya Williams who had 15 points and Ellie Brumback who had 12. Other scorers for the Hawks were Kylie McGuire with 7, Olivia Lacombe with 2, Kyra Whitmore with 2 before being injured, and Madison Payne with 2. The Hawks improve their record to 2-1 on the season.
