Jay Barnes will take over in the dugout (and in the third-base coaching box) in the spring of '14.
Barnes will be the fourth coach in Skyline baseball history, and that's a lot, given that next season is only the SEVENTH in school history.
I liked Ben Taylor. Very nice man who did the best for the kids. Word is he wanted to spend time with family. Good for him. Going to miss what you gave to the program, Ben!
With Barnes' hire, the NWD will have three new coaches. Pat Wingfield will coach Handley and Brent Lockhart will lead James Wood. All three are very close in age. Wingfield is 27 and Lockhart and Barnes are both 28.
