Got some info tonight while me and Tim Coleman went to the basketball game tonight! Al Johnson has started putting together his new staff.as of now unless a change is made it will be a very young inexperienced staff. Tim will start Monday putting in the new spotsy offense for coach Johnson. Johnson will be the offensive coordinator! the new defensive coordinator will be former courtland qb lee carter! carter was the d coordinator for Coleman at Fredericksburg Christian this year. Tim said he will have to adjust to much different athletes in private schools compared to public schools.very green and ex spotsy player Andre Baskerville will coach the defensive backs. he has never coached before. Conway Reid will be qb coach and the only returning coach other than Johnson will be Grant Deitz who will coach the defensive line! so far this is the way it is shaping up unless Johnson changes his mind. very young and inexperienced staff so lets get behind them with nothing but positive support!
Tim deserves a lot of credit for helping the new coach put in the offense. not all coaches would do something like this and thank you Tim for your kindness and help! he like me are spotsy graduates and he is sad to see this program go to pot since he left! he want's the boys from post oak to be what they use to be one of the best programs in the state. good luck coach Johnson and your new staff and most of all GO KNIGHTS!

Skynard1, Absolutely love your enthusiasm and could not agree with you more. Parents, faculty and the student body need to get behind this coaching staff and stay there! I have had multiple "run ins" with parents and faculty members on this exact issue over the years with the only result being my jaw muscles getting stronger. Its past time for everyone to "man-up" and get behind the Knights! They have what it takes ... give them the positive support they deserve and they'll show it to you!

I don't know Tim Coleman personally but I have talked to him a time or two over the years. I commend him for stepping up to help a young coaching staff get their feet on the ground. Thank you very much!!!

Coach Johnson .... "Take it to the house!" Go Knights!!!!

you are 100% right. we are going to have to be patient out here to give coach Johnson time to get the program back to respectability again and I said RESPECTIBALITY! we can't expect him to be a state champion soon as the battlefield is going to be tougher this year. JM courtland will once again head the pack but KG and chancellor will be very able this year as they really have young players that were good having another year under their belt with KG having a very good crop of JV's moving up! so you can see what is facing a team that graduated 15 seniors with only 25 players with a very weak JV program! not to be negative but that is what I feared out there a young inexperienced coach with all the assistants young and green and a lions den they have to face with most those teams I named with very experienced head and assistant coaches. coach Johnson has his work cut out for him but with our support from everyone lets hope they can pull it off! but the key word is PATIENCE! one good positive thing coach coleman told me was Johnson has to get those kids out there to believe in him and those kids like him so that is a good start. he also told him in a meeting they had out there that he has to look at the job in one way he only can improve the program and that should not be hard as the shape it was in the only way it can go is up! that is very true! The parents; fans and even the young coaching staff have to realize what they are up against and show patience because Rhome surely wasn't built in a day!
