I'm betting that they will. 116 - 33 is running up the score regardless of when they started subbing. With no shot clock, a clearly superior team can control whether or not they attempt to humilate an obviously overmatched opponent. Have been part of a few teams that easily had that capability, but coach wouldn't allow it. Think he recognized that "every dog has its day."

Varina is 6A school and HS's #1 rival. They are not going to passify them. They beat Henrico (5A) last night 100-42. They do put the subs in during the second half, but it's like practice at that point even though it counts...Are the supposed to roll over and play dead? That wouldn't help HS when the real competition shows up, would it.
By the way, I do see a LOT of lopsided scores in girls basketball.

All good. Just know from experience that those 80 pt wins won't help in March. They are certainly a good team.

Stonewall was no competition. HS spanked the brakes off of them 91-45.

Unless you face that kind of speed on a regular basis like some of the teams in the old Central Region....you are bound to get run out of the gym. we played HSHS earlier this year and it looked like they hadn't lost a step from last year's team. Coach Harris has them playing well at the right time.
