Because of a work commitment, I didn't get to join my buddy Springer76 today, but he updated me. There is little doubt that HSHS is going to be the team we believed they would be.

N. Stafford is the real deal, but the Springers basically scored at will. Both sides had their share of mistakes, but considering they have only been in full pads about a week, you would expect nothing less.

Springer76, I leave it to you to talk about the players that stood out.

Overall, the team is going to be Solid as a Rock. The kicking portion of the scrimmage looks to be solid for both teams. HS returns the kicker from last year, they will be fine. N. Staffords kicker we saw booting 45 yd. field goals and some booming punts and kicks. Both squads have excellent run games along with good passing game too.
N. Stafford's #4 Devyn Ford is as advertised! He busted off several long runs against a tough Springers defense 1 was a roughly 80 yd td. from scrimmage. He is definitely a stud! Their QB is going to be a threat too. He threw some real nice passes that connected. Some were a bit off target too, but overall, they will be tough!!
HS's run game is as advertised, strong running behind a huge offensive line will lend to ball control when necessary! The passing game.... Our QB (including our backup) were on point all day long!!! Long connections and short, it was working!
Devyn Ford was extremely impressive for NS and I was impressed with the QB/ WR play as well.
HS's Rayquan "Rabbit" Smith RB was nearly as impressive as Ford but he did have a costly fumble in the game portion of the scrimmage. Tremaine Talbert impressed me as well! This kid isn't big in stature, but what he makes up in speed and finesse is incredible.
HS defense will be tough, a few mental/communication breakdowns were costly, but these are all fixes to work on! HS's Offensive Line is massive! Once they "get it all" together, watch out!!! Defense is stout, no doubt!
All in all HS is a work in progress and come August 24th, they will be ready. Trust me, this incredible staff will have this extremely talented bunch cocked, loaded and ready!

Kinda confirms what springer said about HS offense moving at will. The NS highlight video shows only NS offense vs. HS defense.

Yes, that was a N Stafford highlight reel of the scrimmage .. As I said, Devyn Ford is a beast! And they have a good qb that threw some nice passes.
They only showed 2 of their 4 touch downs!
They started with a controlled scrimmage. After the kicking part was over, they went like 10 plays on offense each. During this HS scored 4 times, made 3 of the xtra points.
NS scored 3 times, made 2 xtra pts.
Score 27-20 HS
Break:
This second half was played as a game. It lasted for about the length of 1 qtr.
HS scored 14
NS scored. 7
NS had driven inside the 20 and qb threw an INT in the end zone that would have tied the score. Threat nullified!
HS had the ball on the last drive and was running the ball wit ease. They had driven across the 50 to about the 40 and fumbled. NS recovered!
That's where the game ended. 14-7 HS.
TOTAL SCORE BOTH HALVES
27-20
14-7 =
41-27 HS was the clear winner!
Oh, by the way Let's mention the JV scrimage:
HS scored 7 tds NS scored 0
One could score that as
42-0 or 49-0 if you count kicks or not!

Wow, so NS might be more of a threat in their playoff bracket this season based on that! They’ve had some good years in the past, but typically never showed THAT well vs HS in the scrimmage.

Devyn Ford is definitely the real deal. Saw him light it up as a 14yo freshman.

Kinda surprised NS scores that one TD down the springers sideline after the play broke down. Was that a starter out there in coverage?

Not sure. It is hard to tell how was who, HS's players don't wear their usual numbers during scrimmages. I thought Rayquan Smith was one of HS's main runner, but I understand that he was sidelined for the scrimmage. McKeiver and Kali Bradford did most of the damage in the run game.
I stated earlier, I think N. Stafford is going to be tough come regular season. HS scrimmages Thomas Dale this Thursday. This one should be competitive as well!!! That is what we want!
