St Anne's-Belfield never trailed in their 55-26 win over Blue Ridge and they advanced to the D2 State championship for the second straight year where they will face Trinity Episcopal.
The St Anne's-Belfield playmakers showed up as expected. Jalen Harrison scored the games first touchdown on a 10-yard run and he completed a pass to Kareem Johnson to give the Saints a 14-0 lead only six minutes into the 1st quarter. Harrison accounted for four touchdowns and he was 8 of 14 passing for 201 yards and three touchdown passes while accounting for another 48 rushing yards on the ground and a touchdown.
Kareem Johnson scored three touchdowns via three different ways with a 25-yard touchdown reception from Jalen Harrison, an 82 yard kickoff return for a touchdown and a interception return for a touchdown to end the game.
The versatile Campbell Miller completed a 50-yard pass to Cameron Carr with 5:31 to go in the 3rd quarter to give St Anne's-Belfield a 42-12 lead. Running back Javon Johnson had 95 yards on 18 carries.
Blue Ridge wasn't able to keep pace and four turnovers proved to be too much to overcome. Tae Watts ran for 37 yards and two touchdowns and quarterback Justin Armwood had 39 rushing yards and a touchdown.
