Westfield has played in 7 straight state semifinal games.

Oscar Smith has played in 10 of the last 13 state semifinals.

Colonial Forge has played in 3 of the last 4 state semifnals.

South County won their first state title last year in football.

Of these schools which one do you feel will not return in 2020 to the state semifinals and what team replaces them?

It's hard to imagine a change to those 4 teams in 2020. However, South County was a mature, senior-laden team. It's usually a team like that which could have a hard time making it all the way back. I just don't know if they'll have a challenger to replace them.

Colonial Forge is losing some players that are transferring to private schools as well as their QB to graduation, they will still be a threat to make it there but man their bracket is no joke, Freedom, Stonewall Jackson and Patriot will all be threats, however I think Massaponax will be the ones to dethrone them, they return so much of their talent from the year prior.

Good info, too bad to hear about transfers out from Colonial Forge!! That can have a big negative impact upon a program.. As a fan it's a heart breaker, too. Hopefully, the kids filling in are prepared to push into those key spots.

For Sure! Again they’ll likely still be very good I believe they only had 2-3 transfers one of them being the talented Elijah Sarratt to St. Francis in Baltimore... JV was really good last year however only losses to Ponax and Highland Springs... so they’ll be fine if not this year than certainly the next
