# 1 Riverheads 7-0
# 2 Radford (beat 2 time State champ Galax)
# 3 Essex 8-1
# 4 Galax
# 5 Mathews
# 6 Northampton

Please post if disagree or you think other teams may belong in the elite/very good top tier. Just like Football or other sports, teams usually fall into 4 or 5 tiers from Elite to Poor. The final 4 teams in the state will most likely be comprised of 4 of these teams (barring major upsets).

I think this is a good list. I would even go as far as to say that 2, 3, and 4 could be interchangeable. I know that is odd with Radford just beating Galax...but come on...we know how good both schools are. Auburn, as I've said, could pull an upset, and I would place them at 7. I think tonight will let us know the reality of that occurring. But still a damn fine list.

Yes, I completely agree. I would put the next group in the 2nd tier (Good teams) -
#7 Auburn,
#8 Rappahannock
#9 West Point.

I can not decide on the 10th team - George Wythe? but they seem to be down, maybe ARGS, Stonewall? Need some more info on those teams to determine their ranking. Also, agreed, # 2-4 or even all top 6 could be mixed up a tad. All very good teams.

Some East soccer scores from the last two weeks - please add more or correct if needed.

Rapp 1-0 over 2A W&L
Mathews over WP 4-1
Mathews 2-1 over Rapp
2A W&L 2-1 over Middlesex
Middlesex 2-1 over Northumberland (Middlesex scores PK near end)
West Point 4-0 over Lancaster
Lancaster 2-0 over Chincoteague
Essex 7-0 over Northumberland
Essex 7-1 over Lancaster
2A Bruton 4-0 over Rappahannock
Northampton over W&L by around 4 goals

I would add Patrick-Henry Glade Spring to this list at 10 over Fort. GW did just tie Galax. I would bump them down to 5. If they play at home, I'd put them at 1.
