On Friday night's Endzone telecast, when they covered the Strasburg game, the announcers said that a Rams player fielded the opening kickoff in the end zone and returned it 100 yards for a touchdown. But in high school ball, if a kickoff goes into the end zone, it is an automatic touchback. So just out of curiosity, how long was that TD?

I've watched some film on them since they play KW this upcoming week and it looked to be right around 98 or 99 yards. It was kicked to him and he initially dropped it, but picked it up just in front of the end zone and was never touched

Now if he touches it in the field of play and then drops in and it rolls into the end zone it is not a touch back automatically and he can advance it.

This is false. If he touches the ball and does not posses the ball it is a muff and remains a kick. And if it goes into the end zone it is an automatic touchback. If he possess the ball then it is no longer a kick and becomes a fumble.

The ball never went into the end zone. From the fence looking right at the play he picked it up at the 2. It was close but did not get in the endzone. Tonight's game between KW And Strasburg should be a good one
