Just wondering what the general consensus on this board feelings on the final score ? Just curious.
This game will be a close one . If my Tigers can survive 3 quarters and stay within striking distance we will have a chance to pull it off.

Sussex 18 - Goliath 14

Just to add about the Tigers , the defense has been playing lights out especially versus the run , the special teams unofficially has been outstanding at limiting the other teams possessions with turnovers. The defense is leading this bunch of Tigers. Beware

Also has CCC fully recovered from the shoulder injury from earlier this year , dude is a baller but he has a mileage on his tread as the lead tractor for Big Red . Looking for a great game tonight folks . Let’s GO !

Good luck to sussex but I don't think it's gonna be close...just comparing some scores, sussex lost to Brunswick and Brunswick lost to Rappahannock, who was is decent at best and the tigers didn't impress me against essex...I think this will be over by half.

Those losses included factors unknown to many . I respect your opinion.

Understood...I'll be pulling for sussex!
Thanks man we surely will need it in that environment, Riverheads as earned the respect to be favored, they are the standard. We will show up not to lay down my friend.

That's not true. Those kids came up under the youth program in the area. At one time, the whole district had 1 team until they broke down and each county had their own team.

I don't know about recruiting...two players transferred from another school in the district to essex...if anybody is hurting from losing players in all sports to other schools it would be essex.

No shade at all just stating some facts , Essex is a powerhouse yearly.

They've been a powerhouse for years. It's the coaching. That's like saying Rivershead is recruiting.
Ok not the same , I had the chance to review Riverheads personally. It’s 100% developed from that community.

Go to a game and view how they keep the weight room in plan sight with the windows exposed for a peek inside .

OK. I'm from the NNK. I know they develop their players as well. I don't know if Rivershead does or not. Wasn't saying they do. But it's the same principle. Just because you don't see the process doesn't mean the process isn't there.

This is not against Essex folks. It’s the nature of the game , everyone has at some point had a game changing transfer.

R u coming to the game trutiger, if so dress warm, going to be cold, and the wind blows all the time on the hill, and get there early for parking cause doing some remodel at the school and parking is crazy,

Riverheads in a blowout, that simulated double wing or whatever Sussex runs won't cut it. Game will be over by 3rd quarter. Reserves in the 4th quarter

I plan on attending , I’m in working in Washington today , so traffic will be a factor . But I plan to be there .

They are capable of running numerous offenses, Birchett and that offense still has the spread in there arsenal, Bitchett is under rated as a qb, dude can be special . Don’t forget Silver as well .

I am not a Sussex fan, but I can tell you they had some pieces missing early in the season. I just left the school a few minutes and although they are nervous they appear to be ready to play. Heck, Coach Jefferson has been around awhile and most coaches know him so well they can name the gum he likes. Sussex has very little chance; however, if the Tigers can show Riverheads a different look who knows. I would throw deep on the first play. It's going to take a miracle, so start working on it from play #1.

I strongly believe in My Tigers and especially coach Jefferson. He is battled tested as the leader of our program . The kids will be ready !!!

I fully expect Riverheads to score on a waggle from the qb , I can live with that CCC will dictate the safety coming up with aggression. Sussex must be solid on special teams , our punt snaps and protection must be sharp , we can’t afford to turnover the ball pinned down in our territory.

I for one also wonder with Norcross now the head coach is the defense still lights out now that he has extra responsibilities ? Dude is a great defensive mind.

I think Sussex Central will keep it close early but eventually Riverheads will pull away. Something along the lines of 42-8 final but maybe 21-8 at half.

Here is how I see it plying out! 0-0 first quarter start of 2nd quarter Sussex catches them sleeping with a short pass missed tackle and a touchdown goes for 2 misses halftime 6-0 Sussex. 3rd quarter adjustments made Riverheads 65yard touchdown run extra point is good. Sussex fumbles on next series Riverheads another rushing TD extra point good 14-6. Sussex ends the 3rd with another turnover that Riverheads CCCashes in. 21-6 4th quarter Sussex returns kickoff for touchdown another missed 2pt 12-21. Both teams trade possessions under 1 min to play Sussex hits with another deep pass 2pt is good.21-20 offside kick is recovered by Riverheads who runs the clock out final 21-20! Riverheads advances! Now what a game that would be 😁

My Guy !! Thanks for making me smile lol . I needed that

It’s likely going to be somewhere in the middle of the blowout and low scoring. Sussex has some very good pieces so barring turnovers it shouldn’t be a blowout if Riverheads wins. I could see a a hard fought 27-12 game but the weather is going to play a factor. The wind is ridiculous right now but may calm a little. I remember an overlooked King William team coming to Greenville and leaving with a 28-27 win that frankly surprised the hell out of me so anything can happen. God luck and safe travels to all
