Nick Pawloski was the both the hitting and pitching star in leading Tallwood to a 12-3 win over Oscar Smith in a game played at Harbor Park. The teams played only six innings due to a 30 minute rain delay.
Pawloski gave up three 1st inning runs but then tossed four shutout innings before leaving after five innings. He struckout nine batters while not issuing a single walk. Luke Gibson struckout two batters in the final inning.
At the plate, Pawloski went 3 for 4 with two RBI including a 1st inning RBI single. Tallwood opened the game with four straight hits with Nick Yarrington delivering a 2-run triple. Mark Smith also finished with two RBI.
After the rain delay, Oscar Smith trimmed the lead to 4-3 with three runs in the 1st inning. Nick Scianna tripled then scored on a double by Jack Flanagan. Tristan Council followed with a single and Jonathan Everidge doubled to make the score 4-3. However, the Tigers did not score another run.
Tallwood continued their hit parade and finished with 17 hits and 12 runs. the Lions scored a run in every inning accept the 2nd inning. Dylan Muniz, Tommy Myint, Mark Smith, Thomas Bilello and Jamal Bullard all had two hits.
