Week six is here already! This is the last week before Battlefield District play begins. One last week before things get real in the search for the Battlefield District trophy. It’s also the last time the Battlefield will be a 6 team district. Next year Eastern View joins the battlefield once again. That means the Battlefield is going to get even more competitive. Let’s see how it looks this week.
Caroline vs King William
Caroline is working hard and they are headed in the right direction to break the slump they have been in. King William is a tough customer but they are not invincible. This game could turn out to be a very, very good game. The Cav’s early schedule has been rough and they are very, very hungry. My gut feeling is its time. The Cav’s have what it takes to win this one. It’ll be tough, but they can get it done. Caroline gets the W.
Chancellor at James River (C)
Last year the Chargers dominated this match up. The Rapids were just too young. This year it will be a different story. Those young’uns are a year older and tougher. One thing you can’t ignore is the quest the Chargers are on. The story will be different but not the ending. The Chargers will not be denied. Chancellor with the W.
Courtland @ Liberty Bealton
I see this game as a slug fest. Two teams that like to play smash mouth football that appear to be fairly well matched. And you know they are both hungry! The team that wants the win more will take this one but it will take all four quarters. It’s a little difficult to see both of these teams where they are at this point in the season. It’s uncharacteristic for both. I can go either way, but am going to say Courtland has a little more desire. The Cougars get the W.

James Monroe @ Essex
JM is on a roll. Like always, right. They win the games they are supposed to. This week’s matchup with Essex may not be a good test of their capabilities. Essex will give them some work, but the Jackets get the W.
Spotsylvania @ Washington & Lee
Spotsy is another team that is working hard and headed in the right direction. Keep working hard Knights! W&L does not appear to be leaps ahead of last year and the Knights got the win then. I don’t think you’ll see a different outcome this year either. Spotsy is due and they won’t be denied! The Knights get the W.
