Richmond Touchdown Club Presents the 3rd Annual Big River Rivalry
The Big River Rivalry high school all-star football game is back. The 3rd annual game between the North of the River stars and the South of the River stars will be played on Saturday, December 19th, 2015 at Day Field on the campus of Randolph-Macon College in Ashland.
Kickoff is tentatively scheduled for around 1:00 p.m.
The game will feature the best of the best in high school football locally. At least 2 players from each of the area’s 42 high schools, both public and private will participate. 18 coaches from around the Richmond metro have agreed to be part of the coaching staffs for the 2 teams.
The players will participate in a combine event on Sunday, December 13th at Elkin Sports Performance and then practice each evening during the week. The North team will practice at J.R. Tucker High School and the South team at Manchester High School. On Friday night the 18th, there will be a banquet at King’s Korner in Chesterfield.
Tickets will be $10 for adults and $5 for students and all of the proceeds will benefit Children’s Hospital of Richmond.
