As we turn to the last three weeks of the season, things start to heat up. Teams are trying to gain points and momentum for the playoffs.
Liberty (1-6) @ Brookville (6-2) The Minutemen have struggled with injuries and inexperience this season. Coach Watts is a great coach and always has his kids give maximum effort. Brookville has rebounded from two consecutive losses, and are looking to keep the positive energy flowing before their bye week. Unbelievable numbers from Bernard and his talented skill players.
EC Glass (5-2) @ Jefferson Forest (2-5) The Hilltoppers are almost in a must win situation. The 4A west only brings 12 to the dance, so points are a must against the last 4A team on the schedule. The Cavaliers look to right the ship after back to back losses. They have struggled to win at home this season, and could really use a win to boost their confidence.
Amherst (6-1) @ Heritage (4-3) This game features two teams with backup quarterbacks at the helm. Turner and Arrington are deeply missed, but the backups have done a tremendous job of trying to fill the void. Moss and Davis are a two headed monster for the Pioneers. This team has lost 3 games by a combined 11points (8,2, and 1). The Lancers feature a very talented line, with Page and Woodfolk showing their breakout speed. They have a tough three games remaining on the schedule, but are looking to gain some valuable playoff points.
