Thread about kickers

Northumberland kicker Harry Lee just kicked a 42 yrd field goal and was good. Just curious is there any kickers on any other teams capable of doing it? Especially in a time where more teams have speed and go for two more often.

Awesome! Harry Lee is a 1st year Varsity Football player as a Sophomore (maybe 1st year ever playing Football).

Harry Lee, as a Freshman, was a star defender and emerged as a team leader for the NHS Varsity Soccer team last season.

It will be interesting to see how far Lee can make more field goals as he continues to practice. Another weapon for the Indians and Coach Lewis.

Some more interesting notes on Northumberland's sophomore kicker Harry Lee. He just started playing football less than two months ago.

That 42 yard field goal he made last night was Harry Lee's 1st field goal attempt in a game ever. He has made 9 of his first 10 extra point attempts (one or two may have been blocked). Lee's kickoffs have been really good as many have been booted into the end zone for touch backs.

Many high school teams rarely even use Kickers for extra points it seems as it is difficult to make them especially in 1a and 2a. Coach Lewis and staff have done well with the O lines in blocking well. Major improvement over last year right there.

Sounds like he is off to a great start especially for a sophomore....

Middlesex's Jack Ruark is 8-10 so far with PAT's. Last season he connected on two field goals over 40 yards but so far has yet to hit from that distance. He has made two in the 20-29 range, two in the 30-39 range, and has missed from 43 and 45.

Who knows maybe this weeks matchup with Northumberland @ Middlesex will be a kicking duel.

Yes, I have read about Jack Ruark's skills in the paper. I do believe Lee and Ruark may be the two best kickers in at least Class 1A - East. Maybe they will meet up in soccer as well...

(actually there may be another rival kicker far away. I bet that you can guess which school -)

Any others worthy of mention out west or that we may not of heard of in the old Region A....?
