The Tiger's Trevon Hatch finds a crease in the Dragon's defense to slither into the endzone.

SUSSEX- 3A Park View came into Sussex looking to get past their last major hurdle for a undefeated season and a shot to get closer to the top 3A East team Phoebus Phantoms. Sussex Central would be more like a wall on this night as the Dragons coming off 3 blowout wins were looking to keep the momentum going. The Tigers were looking for a jolt to aid in their quest for a top seed. Both teams played like a lot was on the line.

The game starting out with both teams filling one another out as both defenses shined early. The Tiger offense would get a big run from Amari Hill setting the Tigers up in scoring position. Trevon Hatch would do the honors making it 6-0 Tigers with 3:20 left in the 1st quarter.

The Tigers would continue to find holes in the Dragons defense as Hatch would break a big run but would be stripped making a cut. Sussex Central would though continue to play lights out defense as Malik Delk looked poised like a veteran quarterback should finding Tyrese Rose for a 19-yard touchdown strike. Sussex Central would take a 12-0 lead into halftime.

The Dragons would not lay down. Coach Kelvin Hutcheson realized that they had to capitalize off a big catch they made with a pass to Malcolm Lofton right before halftime. German Neville would find Ma'Khi Davis for a 34-yard touchdown pass and Tyrone Fisher would run in for the two point conversion to make it 12-8 at the 9:55 mark of the 3rd quarter.

The crowd from South Hill came alive! Park View responded by stopping the Tiger rushing attack and then it was Fisher breaking loose down the home sideline racing 59-yards for the touchdown giving the Dragons the lead. 14-12 with 6:54 left in the 3rd. The Dragons would think the Tigers would tap out but found out that would be the last thing they would get excited for.

Sussex Central's Amari Hill would find daylight behind great blocking by the Tiger line.

Coach Curtis Jefferson and the Tigers would stop pounding up the middle and used their speed to out race the Dragons to the outside. Park View had no answer for it the rest of the game. Hill would cap off a 3:10 drive with a 15-yard run to give the Tigers the lead for good. Hatch would get the conversion making it 20-14.

Late in the 3rd after a stop on defense and forcing the Dragons to punt, Hill would suffer an injury and would not return. Sussex Central would respond quickly as Mack Prosise would explode for a big run to end the 3rd and go in for a 14-yard touchdown run. Sussex Central was up 26-14.

From their it would be several turnovers featuring Neville running for cover from the Tiger defense. Any interception thrown at the 3:16 mark of the 4th sealed the deal. Prosise would break another big run setting up Delk running in for a score.

Sussex Central's Tyrese Rose puts the finishing hit to stop the Dragon's Fisher for no gain.

The victory was a big win the Tigers (6-0) who face a rival each week going forward heading into the playoffs. The biggest one next in the Armory in Franklin who won in Lawrenceville in convincing fashion.

Park View (5-1) will also be on the road at their biggest rival Brunswick.

Sussex Central rushed for 330 yards on the night against a defense that had been stout versus the run.
