This old high school football junkie would like to issue my annual thank you. From the handful of you I actually know, to the hundreds of you I've had the pleasure of watching play this season, thank you for all your hard work and dedication. Most of you are just a nameless, faceless number on a jersey, but to your team, staff, school, and community, you are a lot more than that. Take the lessons learned from football and being a good team-mate, to guide you in pursuing your future plans. Thank you guys again, it's been another fun season.

Took the words right out of my mouth minute man. Trophies and championships are nice but by far the best rewards are those lessons you learned and apply to life. Trophies end up in the attic, memories fade, people forget..but character, hard work, team work, and good friends last a lifetime. Those intrinsic rewards are all that matter in the end.

When Kenny Chesney's song was out a couple of years ago, I felt like I should drop whatever I was doing just to listen to it. I was in a rural area outside of Knoxville one Friday early in the football season a couple of years ago and got held up by traffic entering the parking lot where Kenny went to school (and played, I guess). At that time, his song came on the radio. Poetic justice, right?

"The Boys of Fall" is the Chesney song.

That is the last song we play @ Woodgrove stadium after the game on Friday nights.

That song sure brings back some great memories for me!

Very well said 60 minute man ! I want to echo those sentiments. I know the lessons I learned from my playing days have helped me all through my life.
Enjoy these last few days with your teammates ! It goes oh so fast, but the memories last a lifetime !
