Top 5 teams in Region A

Someone correct me if I'm missing something but the playoff field looks to be set with the seeding needed to be worked out. I have Sussex out W&L in with CB, Essex, Northampton, Northumberland, West Point, Rappahannock, and Franklin with a lot of possibilities for who plays who with so games that I think anyone could win in the final week.
Franklin vs 3A Southampton
Rappahannock vs Essex
West Point vs Clarke
Northampton vs 2A Arcadia
Colonial Beach vs W&L

The only playoff team with what should be an easy win is Northumberland in the final week. A lot of those other games with have playoff type emotions with district titles and unfamiliar yet good opponents.

Region A seeding notes
Top 3 are locked
Franklin will either be 1 or 2
Rapp can fall anywhere from 1-3
NHS can be 2-3
4-7 can be any combination
West Point can be 4-6 I believe
Northampton seeding from 4-7
Essex seeding from 4-7
Colonial Beach can go from 5-7
W&L could be 6-8

My match could be wrong but I think I got it pretty much down

I must say that this may be the most competitive Region A playoffs in memory. Every game could be good and any seed 1-8 could win or lose.

No clear cut favorite. Survive and Advance.

Who will survive?

I guess the survivor will get to experience a trip to Riverheads, assuming they survive in Region B.

Yep the reward for surviving the Region A playoffs will be a trip to play Riverheads out West with all their passionate fans.

Most of these teams (current players) have never faced an experience like that. It will be a memory for sure for whoever is "fortunate enough" to earn that trip :).

Within the last 5 years I only remember Essex and Colonial Beach there in the 2016 playoffs in back to back weeks.

The two 3A in the tri rivers can't even compete with the 1A .500 Sussex team... = cupcake city

I think you're probably looking at Frankin as a lock at #1 W&L #8. 2/3 is likely Rapp or NHS. 5/6/7 is Essex/Northampton/CB. I don't see how WP doesn't finish up #4 regardless of Friday's games. Of course the math can get a bit complicated.

A win is a win but I would think Northumberland fans might be a bit concerned. That 5 point victory at W&L was followed by a 1 point squeaker vs CB. Now you've got 3 away games in 7 days that started with a tough loss to Rapp and a 7 hour round trip to 7-1 Northampton before finishing up with Lancaster on Friday. That's a tough row to hoe and hats off to the Indians for sucking it up. Difficult way to end your season.

While unlikely WP still has 2 games left in which they could lose and be 6-4.
Also unlikely but Northampton could finish 9-1 which would put them in front of WP.

I should have added earlier that I heard Chincoteague forfeited the game against WP on 10/30.

Them ponies don’t want no smoke. Lol. But seriously thank god WP isn’t traveling up there for a game on a Tuesday...

After beating the bricks off Christchurch (who boasted to NHS before the game about an easy W they were about get) and then giving powerhouse Essex a solid beat down, the Northumberland boys got a little cocky and relaxed a bit too much.

Hopefully, the Rapp loss will help to refocus the lads a tad. Thanks for the kind words.

Region B = Free Ride City

You know it must be tough to be a school in Region B. Have you noticed that no one from any of those schools even bothers to post. I feel bad for those kids and coaches.

They all know they will lose to Riverheads by 50+ unless the Red Machine plays with them (so it will not look too bad).

Not Riverheads fault either.

I’ve said this before need to check see how many state champions have came out of region B since 2000 rest my case . The last two years have been a joke the way have got it set up. I think should go back to top 16 in east and west and be done much better that way. If 16 is to many than do top 12
