Plan ahead & be flexible!!!! Leave as early as possible & eat dinner down here if you have the time! If not then stop by Chicken Fiesta & bring me SOME! We currently have nothing that is comparable.

Here are the major Considerations for making your trip down.

1. Traffic, traffic, traffic. Decide whether you:re going to come down via I-64 vs 460 via Petersburg & Suffolk. Each way is about 2 hours but if there are problems, it can take 3!!! Take i64 at your own risk vs reward.

You won't hit a backup of traffic until you come close to the western Tidewater area.

Allow your phone app to decide the fastest route. It might be quicker to go through the Portsmouth Tunnel (Speed pass Toll) otherwise go ahead & take i64. Take exit 292, US 17 A / Rt 190. It's immediately after crossing what we call the high rise bridge. If you miss it, just proceed like your heading toward the Outer Banks of NC. There is another exit off rt168 that takes you to the school.

2. Parking, if you come close to kick off time expect to be sent to satellite parking lots & ride a shuttle bus!

3. Ticket lines, there will be. Using the ticket booth at the far end is worth the walk over there. I'll Check about the online phone app for tickets. It worked last year. The ticket cost about $1.50 more per ticket. But you just use your phone to get in!!

4. Food, we enjoy Poland's Chicken strips & livers via a food truck inside the gates. Chik-Filla sandwiches, hamburger/hot dogs at the concessions. If your able to eat down here, I'll post a list if enough people are interested.

Thanks! I plan on leaving real early(shortly after noon). Gonna stay the night at a nearby hotel (probably near the shopping center)
