7. Altavista
8.Luenburg Central
9. Essex
10. Surry / Colonial Beach ( Tie)

Surry? No way. Altavista no way. Lunenberg no way. Essex in top 5. Not sure about WP or Franklin.
Yes Surry , they improved drastically. Essex will have a down year trust me. Wp is good they are sliding under the radar. Franklin has a ton talent and very good coaching.

Riverheads is to high they are going to have work real hard to get to that spot next year I know which ever one knocks off Riverheads wants them to be number 1 so they can put a feather in their cap but if you don’t get them next year we might be looking at 5 or 6 in a row

Start of season:

1. Riverheads
2. Chilhowie
3. Galax
4. Northumberland
5. Essex
6. Patrick Henry GS
7. Narrows
8. William Campbell
9. Rappahannock
10. Franklin

End of season

1. Riverheads
2. Galax
3. Rappahannock
4. Patrick Henry GS
5. Essex
6. William Campbell
7. George Wythe
8. Chilhowie
9. Sussex
10. Narrows

That’s how I see it unfolding. I think any of the top four in my end of season could win it. Patrick Henry has a solid JR RB coming back that should carry them through region D. Galax will have another year in their new look O which I think will pay dividends next year. All you fellas out east are hollering about Rapp so I figured I would ride along with ya on it. And I just don’t see Sussex or Franklin taking the big step to region B winner. In fact I think WC will showcase their young QB and give everyone fits up to and including the Red team. Gotta go with RH winning but will be closer than last few years.

Sussex may have the best qb and best rb tandem in Region B outside of Riverheads Smiley

You could be right but the jump from 2-3 wins to 7-8-9 wins is usually not accomplished in one year. It sure does happen but not often. I do realize the Tigers were in a bunch of their games, I am just leary of counting on that flipping all the way. Sure enough sounds like a lethal combo for Sussex though. I will tell you that the young man from William Campbell can spin it pretty good too and has enough size to run when he has a mind to.

Sussex committed to run from the programs signature veer formation all season due youth and teaching, i fully expect Jefferson and staff to sprinkle in some spread this year in combination with the veer. The offensive line will need to come together early. The worst record for Sussex is 8-2 they mayy even go 10 - 0.

My Essex Trojans (IMO) need to develope the QB and WR positions. We gotta get our passing game back on track. Next year we’ll need to be able to pass and run the ball to have a shot. The LB positions need to be solidified as well. I was not able to make it to any jV games this year, so I’m not sure what’s moving up.

Essex hopefully gets back to the flashy lamborgini style of play the wing t was a great coaching adjustement but it dosent fit Essex you guys are blessed with talent but may lack experience this year

I agree with most of what you have here. Some insight from the west in my opinion.
1.Grayson County will not be much if an impact in 1a Football next year. We have little to nothing coming back. We will make it to the second round at best.
2. GW will be much improved over 2018 plus they have their QB back. I think they can be trouble for some teams. But won't make it past Galax.
3. Galax will be a team to keep an eye on. They lost some good skill kids but as you said another year in the new system. They have the whole O line back plus are loaded in the back field again. They return the front 7 on D.
4. Chilhowie lost everything and everyone it will be a rebuilding year for them.

Franklin did it this past season

First off, Merry Christmas. I hope this holiday season was filled with family and love. The other stuff is just window dressing anyway.

Now to reply to the last two posts. It does happen and usually happens to at least two teams a year across the various classifications. I was not saying it doesn’t happen but the jump to region champion isn’t guaranteed from having a successful regular season. That was my point with the large swings but I could very well be wrong. That happens pretty often too.

No, doesn't usually happen, and it would be really hard to predict any team to make that happen, unless there is a bias involved in making that prediction. Not a bad bias

Is Rapp losing any players this year?
Rapp is losing Top WR and Starting RB but is returning the whole OL and 90% of their defense. Production wise they have a WR that can produce on the level as Epps. The key to their success will be the offseason work. If its anything like it was this past summer they will have a good shot at winning the District outright and possibly the region.

West Point will also be good but the transition to a new coach could hurt them in some capacity.

Most kids don't want to put the required off season work in. Seems Rapp is bringing back most of their players.
I didn't realize the West Point Coach was not returning.

Have no problem with predictions for next year just not sure why Trip Op is identifying as a Grayson supporter, if you look at previous posts he is obviously a Galax fan
