In the Battle of Scott County, Twin Springs comes out victorious with a walloping of Rye Cove. The "Tiny Titans" as Rye Cove hoped they would have came out as giants and the Eagles simply had no answer. For the Titans it was all Ryan Horne. Horne had 35 carries for 304 yards. Yes, you read that correctly 304. This game wasn't even as close as the score would seem. If it wasn't for two good drives in the 2nd quarter by Rye Cove this would have been a whole lot uglier. Twin Springs had opportunities to score a couple of other times and were turned away in the red zone. For Rye Cove the bright spot was again Landon Lane who had 78 yards passing and 109 yards rushing on 14 attempts. The surprise tonight was the lack of activity from Payton Darnell, not sure if there's an injury or what there, but there was no notice of him. The loss knocks the Eagles to 8-2 and a share of the Cumberland District title. Even with the loss it sure is a story book season for those Eagles of Rye Cove.
