TWO A DAYS

Which is where they belong if they can't handle two a days.

Different approaches for different programs, but 2-a-days doesn't equal success. If the work in the weight room is being put in during the off season (and during the season), conditioning is ongoing, and you are allowing the kids to get a well rounded athletic experience by playing other sports (particularly track and wrestling), then beating them down in August is counter-productive. August is about muscle memory and building the mentality it will take to win on Fridays. Fine tuning. If you plan on playing 15 games, the physical prep can't be for only 3 weeks, and if you plan on playing 15 games, you can't physically exhaust them before game 1.
