No Grundy a has a very good rb but they are no match for the Warriors. But the game has to be played on the field, But the Grundy will not have anything for them.

Grundy can't look over TW first. This is the playoffs, so anything can happen. I don't think Grundy can keep Chilhowie from scoring.

Chilhowie has yet to be challenged this year. It will be interesting to see how they react to some adversity by being down a score or two. They have not been tested all year and I do not think they will be until the state semis. If it is Galax waiting on them and I think it will be, it will be a fight. Galax is legit, with speed everywhere. They imposed there will on us last night the only thing that stopped them was themselves. They was averaging about 8 yards a carry on us and we have an outstanding front 7.
If not Galax- Riverheads certainly will be tough.

They’ve attempted to be challenged but have rolled over everyone. Up until Patrick Henry no one had scored on their first string defense. During the PH game Chilhowie was short three starters and was still able to take care of them. Playoffs are a different story I know and if we make it through I’m excited about hosting Galax or whomever it is at Chilhowie. They’ll appreciate the visitors side stands thats for sure.

Not taking anything away from Chilhowie please don't think that. And Chilhowie has took care of everyone who has been placed in front of them. They cannot help that the teams they have played is weaker than usual this year. I am just saying these guys are used to rolling weaker teams that they have faced and no adversity. That can hurt you when come up against someone as good you or better and give as good as they take. Again not throwing off on the Chilhowie team, Narrows is in the same boat . But Riverheads played and lost to one of the best 2a teams in the state. Galax also played against one of the best 2a teams in the state as well as probably the best 3A team in the state North Side.
It hurt us as we had rolled everyone we had played all year as well besides Glenvar and we didn't think we was supposed to win so it didn't affect us when we wasn't. Last night when we thought we was suppose to win and roll em like everyone else and we couldn't, you could tell the kids didn't know how to handle it because they had not been there before. Don't get me wrong I wish you guys the best of luck and it would make it easier on me giving my coworker heck if you beat Galax because he is me for losing to them. Lol I was just saying sometimes it can hurt you not to have a tough go at it every now and then.

I understand what you're saying about the schedule and not facing adversity. However, this is the same team from last year, but they're bigger, quicker, smarter and they know what is like to be down and even lose. Last year they were 7-3 in the regular season and several games they came back to win in the second half. Take last years state semi-final game against Galax for instance, going into the half they were down and came back and won. They are pretty calm and collected and pressure doesn't seem to bother them. We heard how that 2A Marion was going to challenge us 33-6, George Wythe will challenge us, 39-0 and 2A Virginia High was going take care of business 37-7. The only way to compare Grayson County and Chilhowie, which is not idea is through mutual teams played. GC vs RR 18-0 / Chil vs RR 50-0, GC vs Marion 27-12 / Chil vs Marion 33-6, GC vs GW 36-28 Chil vs GW 39-0. Chilhowie's starters on offense and defense come out at the half or early in the the third quarter. I've seen Galax play a couple of times and barring any injuries, I don't think Galax will be a threat to Chilhowie this year. I've tried to be humble most of the season and tell myself Chilhowie is not as good as I think they are, but they really are that good of a team. They are legit. I think you'll get to give your coworker some grief.

If you watched Galax when they were in their lull you didn't see the good Galax, I'm not saying they have anything for Chilhowie but they had several games this year where they just flat out played bad. They seem to be getting things together as of late and beating teams like they should but time will tell if they can keep it going.

Anybody can be beat on any given day. No one knows what will happen when you get a bunch 15 to 17 year olds on the filed. Momentum is a huge factor in any game. It's playoffs, previous games and stats mean nothing!!! Alot of 9-1 10-0 teams get bested by a team which on paper should not of been a contest. Take Clint wood when they won the state championship they got just rolled by Grayson County in the regular season by 60 points. Galax that year destroyed Grayson County. Then in the championship game Clint wood beats Galax in the last few minutes of the game to take the trophy home. Radford versus Glenvar this year is a another perfect example. Anything can happen on any given night. It's extremely fun to get on here and speculate and predict although thats why they play the games.
