Devils, you slacking this weekend? Waiting on your east update. I know where EV is at, but looking for the rest. Appreciate your time on that stuff.

Looking more and more like a rematch with Chancellor. The points couldn't be done because of the Saturday games.

I would like to see them also, would like to see where Amherst is

Devils is just busy, they'll be up soon.

Mike W must have had an obligation or something today. Probably making five star reservations in Lynchburg for the Titans for the second weekend of Dec. He makes so much money teaching down there that it's probably his treat this year.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Springhill Suites the best in Lynchburg over by the Airport!

And he has to line up limos. And catering. And all that stuff.

I hope Mike hasn't had a family emergency. I would be embrassed for teasing him.

Naw my wife lives in Hopewell during the week because she took a job teaching in Chesterfield, so I've been trying to spend some time with her and plus had to take my boys out for Halloween. They were done after the games yesterday just didn't have time to post.

I wish I made that kind of money teaching. We stayed in Charlottesville last year didn't want to break tradition.

Ok. Help me here if you can. With Moncan already played 10 games..and EV most likely picking up 36 points, most are very likely could be 35 if sherando loses.. Chancellor is most likely going to get 35 points assuming jm beats KG and Massaponx wins. if hanover loses, could EV move up to 2nd.

Dang, we jumped in points a lot after beating 5A Orange. If we win next week and Dinwiddie loses, is it possible to jump Dinwiddie?

Really doesn't matter if Louisa jumps. More than likely gone in round one. But next year could be something special. Still, Louisa played a tough schedule. I'm surprised they didn't pick up more rider points. They're a good squad who seems to be coming around nicely. Likely gone but an upset would be no surprise. That's how much they've settled in.

Looks like Monacan or Hanover for us. With Hanover playing Henrico if they beat them they woud jump over Monacan I assume.

Sorry my math was a bit off, most likely can not jump monacan.
I don't think so. Best EV can hope for is the 4 seed. Not sure if Hanover loses how far they drop but it's possible Hanover drops to a 5 if they lose and chancellor 3 EV 4

With a Hanover loss:

Hanover would be 28.3
Chancellor would be 28
Eastern View would 28.1...They need Spotsy to beat Chancellor to tie at 28.3
And this is with all games falling the way they should fall. Upset here or there throws it off.

Good ol' shauntclair.

Here is what I expect the 19-20 to end up like
1 Courtland 29.3
2 Monacan 28.6
3 Hanover 28.3
4 Eastern View 28.1
5 Chancellor 28
6 Dinwiddie 27
7 Louisa 25.8
8 King George 22.6

IF Hanover defeats Henrico they jump to #1...If Louisa wins and Dinwiddie loses Louisa jumps Dinwiddie for #6.

Yes you gave 22 then the 2 bonus, should be 20 then the 2

I'm not sure why everyone is so caught up in th power points. I do realize that a higher seed essentially lets you cruise to round three through teams that shouldn't be in th playoffs in the first place. But my feeling is that you simply have to earn it. If the road is tougher, the conclusion becomes sweeter. Underdog. Cinderella. Favorite. Doesn't matter. In the end, the chaf is removed from the wheat. I'd rather go head to head with LT in round 1 than coast against poopies for a little extra gate money.

People keep seeing their teams as something special. Fans often do. Playing against poor teams all year can really skew perCeption. The reality is, if your team doesn't look like the 4A Champions of the past decade and have beaten accomplished teams along the way to get there, they have very little chance of banging respectively with the big kids.

For me its about getting that home game one more time as my son is a senior. Home field is an advantage at some places. Ill leave it at that.

Evcyc.....I hear that. Less travel the better as a fan. But the players rarely seem to care. For example, I know my Courtland kids absolutely love playing at the Louisa Jungle. They look forward to it and would actually choose to play the Lions there than at home. They also love JM at Maury and Many have expressed a real desire to play at Salem. They don't seem to understand intimidation or home field advantage. They just like the fun of a new place. As it should be. It's kind of like going to Paris for the first time. If you can't appreciate that, you're dead already.

Shanti, I tend to agree with a majority of your post. I don't really care who Dinwiddie plays or where? Would I prefer to avoid Monacan and Hanover in the first round absolutely. Our teams know each other way to well. Either way we will have to beat whoever is put in front of us or go home.

Not sure what you meant by your statement about cruising and I coukd very well have taken it wrong, but earlier you proclaimed Louisa was one and done. What about Courtland? Didn't they lose to the #8 seed last week. Unlike some of the more seasoned posters I don't know everything about everybody, but on paper, pod 19/20 looks like a very competive bracket. The semi finalist will have earned their shot. Once the cross over happens most of us know what will likely occur.

I would love nothing more than to see the following matchups:
1. Hanover vs. 8 King George
2. Courtland vs. 7 Dinwiddie
3. Monacan vs. 6 Louisa
4. Chancellor vs. 5 Eastern View

Win or lose, I want see how the three sisters of the poor Dinwiddie, Monacan and Hanover stack up against the Kings from the Battlefield/JD. If the seeds line up right there might be a big surprise behind door #1. Guess we will know on Friday night.

@BleedingNavy at least you have a good idea of what to expect from at least one of those teams!
You are correct, I have an idea of what expect from conference 19 and I think conference 20 matches up very well. We haven't seen the single wing or variation and you guys don't consistenly face teams who run the Franklin system/spread passing game either.

Hanover is very physical and virtually rams it down your throat. Dinwiddie and Monacan use the same system and you must have four d-backs with speed and still defend the run. Monacan has the best overall defense of the three, but Hanover is very tough to run on.

Dinwiddie and Monacan participated in the last two East finals, so they know the routine. Hanover has been to the D-5 regional final recently as well. Good luck to all teams this week.

Yes, Louisa at Monacan is one and done. Cougars could easily be the same against Dinwiddie. I would certainly prefer the Generals not be my Blueberries 1st opponent but they'll take them as they come. If they get to December, the boys will have earned it. I wouldn't want it any other way. GL on Friday.

I would like to see them also, would like to see where Amherst is
Amherst #12 won, William Byrd was #11 they lost, Harrisonburg was #13 they lost.LCA was #14 & won, but their opponent was winless this year so they won't move past Amherst this week. Loudoun Valley was #10 they won, but their opponent will only get 2 wins this year whereas Rustburg will win 6. Amherst was only trailing Loudoun Valley by .375 points so the Lancers could slip by them. Amherst should be #11 this week maybe even #10. Amherst really needs to beat Appomattox this week they'll get 36 points possibly bringing them up a couple more spots. Even if they lose they could probably still make the playoffs.

From #8-#17 each has a potentially tough game except Byrd and Dominion. These are using last week's ratings. I put a U, F, or a - after the ranked team to denote whether I think they are an underdog, favorite, or a toss up.
8. Millbrook (U) has Sherando (8-1)
9. GW (F) has Magna Vista (8-1)
10. Loudoun Valley (U) has Woodgrove (8-1)
11. William Byrd (F) has Rockbridge (1-8)
12. Amherst (U) has Appomattox (9-0)
13. Harrisonburg (-) has Turner Ashby (5-4)
14. LCA (U) has Benedictine (8-1)
15. Dominion (F) has Park View (2-7)
16. Fauquier (-) has Liberty (5-4)
17. Liberty (-) has Fauquier (5-4)

I think EV wants Chanvellor at home this time. Playing at EV is a huge home field advantage.

Listen, SLACKER, no one is interested in your excuses about your wife and spending quality time with your children.

I expect my free information to be posted on this board while you are riding the bus back from whatever game your team just played.

The next thing that you are going to try to tell me is that you are going to do your teaching job during the day instead of being around here for me to run wild scenarios by you where I'm trying to get my team moved up from the 14th seed to the 13th.

You stink!

Thankfully Louisa's 3-5 defense is so flexible, built to allow DBs all over the place when needed against a Dinwiddie or 5 linebackers including some that are capable of coverage against a Hanover. They just need to swarm and gang tackle like heck against a Hanover with Cheatham.

Thanks Mike I really appreciate this. Amherst looked and played really well Friday, if they do the same thing, they will beat Appomattox. Appomattox's opponents have not had good records but a couple
