Upset? alert: RE Lee 23 Riverheads 0 HALF

Not really, dominated yes. Lee is strong on O but the D has shown up tonight. This isn't typically their MO. Hats off to them. Good game plan and spectacular execution.

Lee played very good game no turnovers and limited penalties.
Right on Baseball. Lee turned it over way too much vs Luray to win. There are always 2 sides to a coin so give Luray credit too. Riverheads defense had no answer for Williams and Lee in the first half. Lee's defense bent but did not break. Lee stopping the Gladiators on the 1, then driving 99 yards had to put Riverheads in a wake up mode. But Lee just did not give up any big plays on defense all game. I think the only play for Riverheads over 15-20 yards was a punt return.

I'm pretty sure this is the only game this season Lee has been outscored in the 2nd half (7-0). It didn't matter as Lee was willing to let Riverheads grind on offense and make them use the clock working against the Gladiators in the 2nd half. Big win for Lee and imo puts Williams in the lead for district poy.

Lee's tackling has gotten dramatically better, and that was one of the big question marks for them. #54's reads were on point. He's a great leader and competitor.

I didn't think Riverheads played poorly and they fought until the bitter end. Lee was bigger and faster and it showed. Guess who else is bigger and faster? Central, Riverheads' next opponent.

Yes. That game will say a lot for Riverheads and can they lick their wounds and bounce back. Also will effect the region 2a picture with seeding for Lee and Central.

He's my pick now that Jenkins has reportedly missed a second game... Not sure what is going on with him, but I am hoping he is okay.

As for tonight's game, I am proud of the way the Leemen fought tonight on both sides of the ball. I knew there were some matchups that could be won in the passing game for the Leemen, but was delightfully surprised by what the defense was able to do. I am in agreement with what everyone else has already said about tonights game really. Hats off to the big red machine though, as they still have a lot of football to be played, and will likely keep at it into December for the 1A playoffs.
