Valley District down to 2 legit contenders??

Spotswood and Turner Ashby will have a key clash Tuesday evening in "Blazerville" A Spotswood win would give them a season sweep and a nice 2-game cushion.. Waynesboro appeared in the thick of things, beating TA but then got blanked 9-0 by Broadway Friday to take its 3rd loss in the league. The Blazers have a few more league makeup games to play than TA. I thought Fort might make a late push, but they really faltered against the Knights Friday
Spotswood 5-1
Turner Ashby 6-2
Waynesboro 4-3
Broadway 4-3
Fort Defiance 3-5
Harrisonburg 2-6
Lee 1-5

I know Broadway had a bad game against TA, but I would not count them out. Shepherd does a solid job coaching them, and I am positive TA will not do that to them again. Remember, they were beating Spotswood most of the game and only lost 3-2 on a excellently executed squeeze bunt. I think those 3 are the class of the district.

I should have put "Is" at the front of the "the Valley District down to.." statement because it isn't over yet and the Gobblers with ole Charlie at the helm are still in it I know that loss to TA did not (personally) sit well for him. Even Lee at the bottom has enough to spring a surprise or two. It is still a race far from being declared decided.
