Kings Fork held on to defeat West Potomac 60-57 in an exciting game between two talented basketball teams. Neither team led by more than six points and the outcome was not decided until the final second when West Potomac missed a 3-pointer.

The Bulldogs trailed early in the 4th quarter after a layup by Chris Morrison who had to leave the game after getting fouled. But they would go on an 11-1 run to lead by six (58-52) with 1;21 to go.

Zehki Darden 3-point gave Kings Fork a 52-51 lead with 3:45 remaining and a thunderous dunk by 6-foot-8 junior Jeremiah Morris brought the fans out of their seats.

BJ Nkrumah had the lead down to one with 31 seconds remaining but the Wolverines could not make another baskets despite several chances to tie.

Zekhi Darden was selected MVP after finishing with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Darden was a perfect 5 of 5 from the field. Adarius Boston added 12 points for Kings Fork who received at least seven points from six different players.

Chris Morrison led West Potomac with 18 points before leaving the game. B.J Nkrumah had 12 points and four blocks. Justin Edwards had nine points and five rebounds.
