Varinas offense was on fire last night at Atlee Friday night first five plays of the game that Varina touch the ball they scored 4 touchdowns . Five plays from scrimmage 4 touchdowns one was called back. Starters got a rest for the second half for the big game against highland springs next Saturday

I’m ghost on the 5A board until HS plays Varina twice over the next few weeks. HS may very well beat them twice but we’ll see! If my Varina guys happen to lose in the playoffs I’m rooting for the Springers to bring their 5th in a row back to East End.
There's going to be some good games in the 804 this month. I'm glad to see HS v Varina round 1 is on a Saturday. Plan to make that one.
Not so quick the earliest HS could see Varina would be in the 2nd round. And the way it looks like now DR would play clover hill. If clover hill beats DR which is not far fetched then Varina would play Manchester. Either way you are right the next few weeks are going to be insane. Looking forward to all the games.

That’s incorrect! The VHSL sets a “HARD” bracket! They don’t adapt for the higher seed to play the lowest seed available. The 1-8 WILL play the 4-5 winner! The 2-7 winner WILL play the 3-6,no matter who wins. So even if the 6 wins,the 1 still plays the 4.
