The computer over there went 5-1 and in the one they missed they only predicted Centreville to win 53% of the time which translates to being favored by 1 point. The game went into overtime. So they effective only missed by 1 point on that game!
Interestingly CalPreps who went 12-0 last week missed 5 of the 6 games, but if they had went with their rankings instead of their score predicting algorithm (which I don't understand and don't like), they would have went 4-2 as their score prediction algorithm contradicted their rankings three times.
Massey Ratings only hit 2 of 6 correctly.
The humans at Virginia Preps went 3-3 so our species is at least as good as a coin toss.
Actually, as close as all the games were (save 1), none of this proves anything, but I always like to declare which computer won the day in the state finals.
