The VISAA updated the current playoff picture with the final two weeks of the season upon us.
DIVISION I
No team has statistically locked up a playoff spot yet, and the top SEVEN teams (BCP down to JPG) are all still in contention. LCA will almost definitely need to beat Benedictine to make it in this year. As usual, the Collegiate-St. Chris game will likely be a make-or-break game for both of them. Lots of games between and among the top 7 teams in the last two weeks should clarify the situation further. But for right now, it's still anybody's trophy.
DIVISION II
Only STAB has clinched a playoff spot and they are assured a first-round home game. Statistically, Bishop Sullivan, Nansemond-Suffolk, Trinity Episcopal, Potomac, and Randolph-Macon are still in the running for the last three spots and Bishop Sullivan is the only team that statistically could jump STAB for the #1 seed, but that would require STAB to lose one of their last two games and Bishop Sullivan to win both of theirs.
DIVISION III
Fredericksburg Christian has clinched the #1 seed. They have homefield advantage for the playoffs. Atlantic Shores has clinched a playoff spot, but not necessarily the #2 seed. Covenant, Christchurch, North Cross, Virginia Episcopal, and Greenbrier are all still in the running of playoff spots. As in D-I, a lot of the contenders are playing each other in these last two weeks. We might have a much clearer picture after this week's games.
DIVISION IV
Fuqua has clinched a playoff berth and a first-round home game. They could be jumped by Roanoke Catholic for the #1 seed if the Celtics beat Huguenot and Fuqua loses to Chincoteague. Roanoke Catholic, Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, Broadwater, Isle of Wight, and Kenston Forest are still contending for the three remaining playoff spots. Kenston would need to win out and get help from teams ahead of them to have a shot.
