W&L v. Mathews

Oh I know - and I know how hard it is sometimes to not score even when you try to call off the dogs - plus, it's not fair to the guys on the bench who want experience and success.
I just feel badly for Mathews and some of these other teams. Man, I don't want them to quit etc. I am really proud our Neck teams like you but I am worried about these programs that have few kids and no JV. I want Sussex and others in Region A to be good. Plus, we need competition to prepare for Riverheads, Galax, Chilhowie, etc.
Plus, I know Joe Taylor is a class act. Took the family to tour his beloved Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland this summer. Awesome trip (not to mention the massive Crab Cake I destroyed ha).
His mentor and AD Malcolm Lewis is one of my favorite local coaches of all time.
Like I posted before, I may be off, but I am more worried about W&L than CB.

Yeah I feel the same way. I know losing that badly can affect the program especially with numbers continuing to dwindle. The game was called with 2 mins left in the 3rd due to weather. Hopefully those kids in Matthews continue to keep grinding.
On another note, W&L still hasn’t been challenged by a team yet, not to take away from their wins at all because I’m proud and happy for the program, but they can still get better and there is definitely room for improvement. I think their next game against Rapp in 2 weeks and KW after that will be good test to see what they’re made of. But NNK district play will be interesting this year. I expect W&L to finish in Top 3 spots

Yes, Northumberland is away at Mathews when W&L plays at Rapp. Perfect, I may have just to go back to Warsaw that night.
I am concerned with NHS's schedule. Christchurch was supposed to help the Indians get ready for Essex (they were D2 Private State Champs last season!). Hopefully, they will.
NHS needs to be challenged in the non-district phase. Of course, you cannot overlook anyone like Northampton way on the Eastern Shore.
Game is 6 is Essex!!! Then W&L, and then CB!!! Yikes! NHS Coach Lewis is young but wise. He will come up with something.

I’d be shocked if Franklin wins but I don’t think Essex will beat them as bad as last year. Hopefully they can play tomorrow. Storms are in the forecast all weekend
Did you cross that big, stinkin' patchwork bridge while you were over there? I hate that thing. Get to cross it on Sunday heading over to OC. Not looking forward to getting stuck on it.
