I thought Alleghany was 2A Region C. What are they?

Dan River is listed as 8 with 16.000

I missed a point. They have 144 one ahead of James River. Next week if they both lose they both get 11 for losing to 5-5 teams. They both will get guaranteed 2 points from other two district games next week no matter who wins so comes down to no district games. Have Dan River only getting 1 point for MV win next week. Bassett has bye and pretty sure Tunstal and Martinsville will lose big. Buffalo Gap and Randolph Henry probably lose for James River. But Parry McClure should be at East Mont easily and Staunton should be at a winless Waynesboro. That would give James River 4 points from nondistrict opponents to 1 for Dan River which puts James River up by two for last playoff spot. Dan River would have to have Tunstal or Martinsville to pull off big upset or PM or Staunton get upset. Just one of them things needs to happen.

Do you see any possibility that Appo doesn't host Chatham?

Added to that, is there any way Appo could be the 3 or 6 seed which would mean we don't have to fool with them in round 2. I would rather not fool with them at all, even in 2023. Scares me and that's not hyperbole. I'm being honest.

Still not sure how we got by you last year.

If Glenvar were to lose their is a mathematical chance for third. But very unlikely. May not move up even with a loss. Gretna too far ahead, checked. Appomattox hosting Chatham is about as much of a lock as I have seen since doing this to be honest. A Chatham win wouldn't catch Appo only that with an Appo loss also. Then it was just change to them hosting. All unlikely but only sceneries I see possible.

Liberty not scoring a point all season thus far and not being dead last in the rankings is wild. That's some next-level disheartening stuff if I'm a Martinsville fan.

That is wild. I guess playing in the Seminole with all 3A and 4A teams will do that.

Yea, I mean it's absolutely their schedule doing that for them and there's zero chance they'd beat Martinsville in a heads-up, I just found it odd/funny.

Martinsville is the only 2A team in a 3/4A district also. Would probably be a pretty good game between them and Liberty now. The Dogs are down to playing 9th and 10th graders now.

Yea, it's just there's a world of difference between the Seminole and the Piedmont.

Liberty actually has the toughest schedule by FAR in C2 and, if you use CalPreps SOS algorithm, they actually have the most difficult schedule in C1, C3, the 2nd most difficult in C4, 4th most in C5, and 3rd most in C6.

When you run down the list, the results of their season almost make sense.

9-0 LCA
9-0 JF
8-1 Byrd
7-2 Glenvar
7-2 Rustburg
6-3 Glass
5-4 Heritage
3-6 Brookville
3-6 SR

Like, sheesh, that's ridiculous for a C2 school. Radford, Union, Graham, Riverheads, etc. aren't coming through that unscathed either.
