Definitely think Bayside could have a great opportunity to once again compete - and maybe even beat - a Cox team that figures to contend for the Beach District crown. Those two teams generally play close, and the coaches know each other very well. Bill Stachelski (Cox) and Jon White (Bayside) used to be assistants together at Cox before both became Head Coaches, and each rather successful.
Couple potential upsets to keep an eye on in Tidewater -- Green Run may give Landstown a scare. They have a dangerous passing game with QB Noah Spencer and junior WR Lakeem Rudolph (potential D-1 kid who made an impact in basketball). Key will be if their line play can hold up and defensively they contain Landstown's top two playmakers - RB Luqman Haskett and WR Jalen Jennings.
Another one that has a chance to occur, though I don't think it will, is Southampton against Poquoson. The Islanders are strong on both sides of the ball and haven't lost to Southampton in about 12 years. However, Littleton Parker likes this Southampton team a lot and feels they will make some noise in Class 3, Interested to see if this one is closer than previous years.
