West Point picked up a 2a school called Clark County for thier senior night for in place of Charles City since they won’t have a team this year. Clark County was the first seed in thier region last year this will be a really good game for West Point to challenge themselves and see what they are really made of!

West Point picking up a tuff opponent. I will give them a 4-6 season depending on Fairview & Rappahannock County games. Good luck Pointers

That's an incredibly tough opponent. They didn't just pick up an opponent, but they picked up one of the better Class2A teams in the state of Virginia. I assume the game was due to Manassas Park also (like Sterling-P. View) recently announcing their cancelled season. Manassas Park was on Clarkes schedule. Clarke is not supposed to be quite as good as last season from what I've read on here, but even on their supposed down years, they are very very tough.

King William, Clark, Colonial Beach, Rappahannock (Warsaw) are 4 must see games. With that schedule they can't slip up against their other opponents.

They will beat Rapp and CB this year.

Not sure about that from my knowledge Rapp was up with 2 minutes to go & lost plus they were young last year. Colonial Beach has a bunch of kids that work hard together. My prediction is CB will beat them & Rapp will beat them also

WP is improved from last year and might have one of the RBs in the state - power, size, and agility. I've been told that the offense is more unified since the o-coordinator and temporary head coach left. Everyone being on the same page will help. I think Rapp sometimes suffers from the same issue - no true offensive identity.

I imagine the complaining about who gets carries will be gone since there’s damn near only 11 players available to play!

Thanks

Watched some clips of the running back against Poquoson. An absolute beast with incredible strength. I didn't see the scrimmage live, but only some clips. I don't know if we faced a better running back all of last year and we faced some studs. The kid from WP is legit and definitely one of the elite 1A running backs.

Just scoping out 1A to find out how Clarke managed to find a game so quickly to fill in for the Manassas Park game we no longer have. You guys are correct, we have not much of a line on either Offense or Defense this year as compared to the last several. We do have good Running Backs in Peyton Rutherford and Kyle Baylor though.

WP actually has two very good RB's...with those two big bruisers splitting carries this year, opponents will be tested. As with every season, sideline numbers and a couple of injuries could cut their season short. WP has never been short on tenacity and heart. Never.
Personally, I feel like a .500 or less than record would be a huge disappointment for them and their fans. Numbers will be their issue though. As long as their starting 11 can stay healthy enough to play, I think they'll have a solid season.

The junior is 220 lbs and the senior is 230 lbs, both solid and athletic. As others have said, they have surprising speed and agility for their size. Last season the senior had 45 carries for 405 yards and 3 TDs, averaging 9 yards per carry and the junior had 79 carries for 924 yards and 13 TDs averaging 11.7 yards per carry. And those stats came with them playing both sides of the ball for 4 quarters. Yes, they both are legitimate. If they stay healthy, they both have the potential to have 1,000+ yard season. Each game should be a war of attrition on opponent LBs and DBs.
