Who has the most best gameday experience for fans. Union. Bon fires, Running of the bears, I also love how the field is in town and that setting at eh foot of the mountain.
Best game atmosphere? 2017 Appomattox game vs Union for the right to play in state championship.
Best student sections? Not sure
Best crowds? Back in 2016-2107 Appomattox use to pack both home and away games. If you didn't get to an away game somewhat early you'd be standing along a fence.
Best playing field? Chatham and Colonial Heights, love their turf (natural grass).
Best concession stands? Dan River last year had fried fish. It was good!
Best looking field? Got to go with the Appomattox RAIDERS! The Stars and Strioes "A" on the field turned out awesome!

Beat playing field? Mitchell Stadium, Bluefield High WV and Grahams home field.
Best concessions? Virginia High.

Best game atmosphere - 2008 Gretna vs. Essex at Gretna. Before game UVA- Tech game was playing on PA with Vic Hall getting first start at QB at UVA. Hear another big commotion and pop stars Chris Brown and Rihanna show up in Gretna to watch his younger brother play for Essex. We won game in nail biter.
Best student section Really didn't like it but in 2007 went to 6A NC champs Davie County. They have entire student section roped off on visitors side. They wear orange hard hats with D on them and taunt visitor fans while game.
Best crowd- Record attendence if 6700 in Gretna to watch Vic Hall and Cedric Pearman of WC play. They had to close gates because there was no standing room left inside. Took while town for parking.
Best playing field- Mitchell Stadium in Graham.
Best concession- Tunstall usually always grills out at concessions.
Best looking field- Graham

Best Game Atmosphere: Any State Championship game or State semis and/or Graham/Beaver game, 10,000 fans!
Best Student Section: Graham but I’m biased.
Best Playing Field: Mitchell Stadium (Bluefield WV) Graham’s home field.
Best Concessions: Tazewell or VA High
Best Looking Field: Mitchell Stadium
I heard Richlands was going back to grass field. I’m not sure if that’s true or not. Turf apparently hasn’t been maintained & too expensive to replace. Take this rumor with a grain of salt though, lol.
Thanks for the memories. Was at that WC game way back in 4th grade 🥹. Cedric Peerman, Horace Hubbard, Marlon Moon, Brandon Turner, Vic Hall.. Some of the best football players I’ve ever seen all from small town Gretna and Naruna/Brookneal.
I was at the game the time they played at WC and the game went into a couple OT's. Made it an early morning to getup to go hunting.
When we get that fried fish right, it is amazing!
Definitely one of the best games i have attended. My sister taught at Goochland so i got bragging rights too. Lol
