Why doesnt the VHSL do a 3rd place game

and have the two losers of the semifinals meet at the higher seed on a Friday night. That way if its played on a Friday night it wont interfere with the Saturday state championships.

Basketball has already started and I don't think many school's would want to play a meaningless game and end their season with two straight losses. The season is 16 weeks long that's enough.

They used to play one in the NFL. Vince Lombardi described it as "...a rinky-dink game played in a rinky-dink town by two rinky-dink teams". I think that sums it up pretty well.
