Hornets upset Draft on their senior night!

7 in a row over our county rivals!

Great effort boys!

OK, Trev.....You've got our attention now but we will talk next week. Seriously, congratulations. Sounds like it must have been a heck of a game.

It was a much needed boost over a big rival.

Our defense is playing lights out. We remind myself of a typical Virginia Tech team. A defense that can play with anyone, and an offense that if it can just not turn the ball over gives us a shot.

I watched the green team last night and I must say they are a lot better than their record shows ! The RED TEAM will have to play their A game to pull this one out . I might even give the Hornets the edge playing at the Hive . They have really improved since game one . Riverheads could see a bump in the road on Friday night !

Don't you use mind tricks on me XCROSS! Lol

If Wilson can stop with the fumbles we will give the team from Greenville a game. But we can't continue to hurt ourselves like that. Especially against them.

I will say the same thing I said last week. I could see a 17-14 game. Or a 28-0 game.

Hopefully a 2nd week of no rain and a big crowd for next Friday.

The fumbles certainly went both ways. It was a KILLER fumbling the ball on a QB sneak on your own 1. Even a Safety there is a different outcome. And not losing yards on the last drive and FG is good. Stupid penalties by players also hurt. 2 unsportsmanlike penalties that didn't need to happen. One doing too much after you had already tackled the kid, and another after you just get an INT and are in FG range and you plow the official running onto the field, those CAN'T happen. But in my opinion, the team that deserved to win last night won the game. Wilson has a great defense.

The fumbles both ways were frustrating.

I'm glad you noticed the unsportsmanlike after the tackle on #50. Just trying to do too much. We contained it most the game but man #2 has some wheels.

Now if it were me, I don't think I would have thrown either of those flags, I understaand why they were both thrown but the accidental hit on the ref was just that an accident and the other one wasn't something egregious just a little extra, but like I said I can see why they were both thrown

The first I believe was technically a foul on the sidelines. Draft was flagged and given a sideline warning on the opening kickoff, an I was under the impression that that's what the penalty was on the interception.

But the 2nd was a forearm to the head while the runner was down. That's why the coaching staff was yelling at the refs.

That opening kick off had me all kinds of worried that's for sure

The one on the sideline was because a player ran into an official

I was just saying it was only called due to the sideline warning from the opening kickoff.

While I'm glad we ruined y'alls night, I at least wish y'all luck the rest of the year. I can't say that about others lol

A flag for running into an official? With that many bodies on the field I would think that happens all the time in football. Assuming you meant by accident, that sounds pretty nit-picky.

I was the only one who actually saw it in press box, and I saw the official hesitate to throw the flag, so if I had to guess, I think it was done because he got accidentally hit so hard. He got floored and when he got up, he kind of looked at the kid and then threw the flag

I didn't see it either honestly! I just assumed it was something from the sidelines.

I won't argue at all with the one for running into the ref. Sort of a tacky call.

The other one though is lucky to have only been a 15 yarder and not ejected. RB was on his back and 50 hit him in the helmet with a forearm.

That kicker you guys have, man can be punt the ball. I mean they were beautiful deep punts most the game. Hell of a leg on kickoffs as well

I am not saying it shouldn't have been called, and you could have had a better view of it than me, but I have seen much worse not called

Oh I won't argue that at all! Officiating in general has been bad this year personally. But that's a conversation for another day

i don't know if you should be counting the number in a row that Wilson beat Draft Trevor, I think you have about 20 more in a row to catch up to the streak SD had over Wilson that ended about a decade ago. Lets just hope Wilson gets nowhere close to that number :)

We have a long ways to go to catch up! but you know what they say about sports..What have you done for me lately? ;)

It's all fun and games!

I was hoping no one would bring up what happened basically from 1981-2007. Not good times for Wilson Memorial football

The days of being a homecoming game an blown out have come and gone for Wilson my friend!
