Wilson's Connery Swift on National TV tonight

Did you forget to remind us of tonight's Go Daddy Bowl? I was tuned in early in the game when I heard Connery's name mentioned. I had forgotten that he played for Toledo.

I didn't catch the first reference to him in time to catch the context of it, but after hearing his name, I watched and listened to see if I could spot him again. I assumed he was on offense, but when they finally did spotlight him again late in the game, it was for a nice open field tackle, so I guess defense is his specialty now.

Which is not surprising, since they had a running back that already had almost 300 yards rushing and 5 TDs by the time I cut the game off with 5 minutes remaining.

He played RB at UVA-Wise before transferring to Toledo and being moved to DB. Toledo was pretty well set up at RB. He also received the Jon Binder award this year given to the player who most exemplifies true heart and courage.

Is that award only given to Toledo players or is that a conference/nation wide thing? Impressive either way.

It is a Toledo award. Connery is a great kid.
