Did i not read a few weeks ago from Danville sports head how good a coach Gretna had in Beard.Was just wondering what he had to say now................

Dan River beat Gretna 86-32 last night. I do not see Gretna winning a game this season.

I think he said it wasn't Beard's fault. Just that Gretna didn't have any talent.

There is some talent on the JV team. There could be improvement down the road if it's developed. Player development is part of coaching. Don't wait until players are in high school. They need development before they reach 10th grade. This goes for all sports.

I think I'll go check out some of these teams this Friday. Is Appomattox really winless as I've seen on maxpreps? I thought them, along with some teams would be better with all those returners. What is it...coaching? Complacency?
