Randolph Macon Academy posted their 1st winning record (6-3) since 2005 while just missing the VISAA playoffs. Landing a playoff spot will b the next door to open for the Yellow Jackets.
Offense
Senior Edmund Loolo is the most explosive player on the Yellow Jackets offense and head coach Frank Sullivan will look to get the ball in his hands as much as possible. Miles Gilmore (5-foot-7, 170) hopes to nail down one of the running back positions and receiver Tradarius Gadson should see time at receiver.
Two starters return on the offensive line and the unit should be a team strength. Rhamel Brewer (6-foot-1, 2150 and Luel Mekonnen (5-foot-10, 200) will be joined by Tajour Gadson and Frank Lui.
"We will be replacing some skill players and we will possible change of offensive system," Sullivan said. "We should be able to get first downs and make some plays. If we can be consistently sound, the offense has great potential."
Defense
The front seven will has several returning starters including bookend lineman Rhamel Brewer, Luel Mekonnen. Linebacker Miles Gilmore (5-foot-7, 170) returns at linebacker while Tajour Gadson senior (5-foot-10, 190) grabs one spot.
Loolo is one of the states top defensive backs and he is receiver some D1 interests. Tradarius Gadson will also start in the backfield.
