Earlier in November, coaches gathered to select the 2021 All-Peninsula District Football Teams.
Phoebus wide receiver Kymari Gray was named the Peninsula District Offensive Player of the Year. In leading the Phantoms to a 9-1 mark, Gray hauled in 25 passes for 491 yards and 13 touchdowns during the regular season.
The Defensive Player of the Year was Hampton linebacker Marcus Triggs
Triggs led Hampton to a 8-1 regular season, rushing for 550 yards and 11 touchdowns to go with five catches for 57 yards while recording 57 total tackles (47 solo), 10 for loss, an interception, a forced fumble and fumble recovery.
His Coach, Mike Smith, is the PD Coach of the Year as he picked up career win No. 500 earlier in the campaign. It is year No. 51 for Smith at the helm of the Crabbers.
