Bird wins on a Hail Mary with 2 seconds left to win the game. Bird should have blown the game out in the first half but multiple penalties stalled 2 long drives and took a touchdown off the board. Dale played tough in the second half and took advantage.They showed a lot of fight especially on defense. Birds new qb Jalen Elliott picked up a low snap gathered himself and threw a Hail Mary to #2 Dorsey who caught the ball to win the game as time expired. Great game.

Yeah, it sounded like Bird could almost move the ball at will, but repeatedly shot themselves in the foot and like Dale could hardly move it at all, but Dale came up with three or four big plays when they needed them and that was almost (should have been) enough.
I don't think any team in American high school history has ever won 30 in a row while averaging over 100 more yards in penalties than their opponents. I don't know how Bird keeps winning. Especially in this one with three turnovers and the roughing penalty that set up a TD.

Yeah the kid that made the game winning catch came up big after having a rough game.He's a senior and showed a lot of heart. Dale played their butts off but it wasn't meant to be. Bird has some good athletes but alot of new faces but once all the new pieces come together they should be dangerous. Just have to cut down on penalties. But of course we say that every year. lol
