Pass to Kyle Love across midfield but is tripped up by Kyree Surita before he can break free for TD
Varina defense came to play with Griffis wrapped up for a loss of 7. Griffis responds by hitting Kyle Love along the Broad Run sideline. Facing 3rd & 5
Griffis with the keeper and gets just enough for first down but time is ticking in the first half. 1:48 to go.
Griffis with a 37 yard touchdown pass to Gavin Sidhu in the end zone to end the shutout. Trail Varina 14-7 with 1:37 to go in the first half.
Kyree Surita wrapped up by Luca Lombardo after slipping. Myles Derrcott then runs up the middle for a gain of maybe 1 before pancaked by Broad Run defenders.
