Other districts in our coverage have already crowned their champs and soon the seeds for the 2021 playoffs will be known. This will be an intense Friday night as many teams are battling to give their squad the best opportunity going forward. Here are the predictions and the seeds going into tonight's action.....
COLONIAL BEACH (5-3) at WASHINGTON & LEE (4-3)
The Eagles dominated Essex to set up this Westmoreland County dream match up. Both teams are coming off shutouts and are undefeated in the district. The winner will be the Northern Neck district champs and will likely earn a home game in round 1 of the playoffs. Randall Annino will be the focal point to get the Eagles soaring in this one.
PREDICTION: Colonial Beach 30 Washington & Lee 28
KING WILLIAM (7-1) at KING & QUEEN CENTRAL (8-0)
The Royal Tigers and Cavaliers have a lot to be playing for as each will look to lock in their current seeding and walk away undefeated in district play. The underrated Cam Berry for the Tigers will need a big game to overcome the state's top running back Demond Claiborne and the prolific offense King William possess.
PREDICTION: King William 48 King & Queen Central 28
SUSSEX CENTRAL (5-2) at SURRY COUNTY (5-4)
Surry County will be looking to host the Tigers two weeks in a row with a victory while the Tigers are hoping to move up in the seeding with a victory and some help from Amelia County. The Tigers tough loss to Southampton on Monday night has them in this big game to decide if they will host in the first round.
PREDICTION: Sussex Central 36 Surry County 20
AMELIA COUNTY (7-2) at CENTRAL LUNENBURG (6-2)
The Chargers are coming off an overtime loss to Buckingham and will need the win in order to lock in the 3rd seed. Amelia County is looking beat out Poquoson and Greensville to host in the first round and be on the path to face Nottoway. Marquelle Royal and the Raider's rushing attack will need a great game to leave Victoria with the win.
