KING WILLIAM (5-1) at IC NORCOM (4-2)
The Greyhounds are playing some of their best football in years and that includes beating powerhouse Hopewell. Now they are the homecoming dish for the defending Class 2 champion Cavaliers. This one will give much more suspense than who will be king and queen. Jaden Ratliff will be the leader on defense for the Greyhounds who will test the Cavaliers ability to keep them guessing.
BOTTOMLINE: Kaleb Shelton and the Cavalier offense will need to convert plenty of 3rd downs and win the time of possession battle. The Greyhounds two losses were a Class 3 and Class 5 title contenders and they plan to force Shelton to air it out to win.
PREDICTION: King William 20 IC Norcom 14
ESSEX (5-0) at NORTHUMBERLAND (3-1)
The Trojans have been quite impressive this season and now face the only team in the district that many feel have the best chance of giving them any competition in the district. Dorian Harris has been amazing as a playmaker leading Region A's top team. The Indians however plan to unleash their talent including Tennessee commit Cameron Seldon who is ranked as the top receiver in the state. A major strategy will need to be in place to hang with the hot production Essex has produced.
BOTTOMLINE: Northumberland will be very confident at home but quarterback Micheal Brimmer will have the passing game stressing the Indians out. Virginia commit Kamren Robinson and the Trojans defense won't bend enough to make this close.
