Field Turf vs. Natural Grass..........

I'm not talking about which surface is the best to play on, I'm asking if installing field turf is worth the expense vs. having a natrual grass field. I know field turf has a limited lifespan (is it like 10-15 years?). I know you do have to roll it and keep those bits of rubber in it so it keeps it shape. But, otherwise no maintenace or water bill (although some schools may not be charged for water usage) or purchasing materials for upkeep. Thanks for any opinions.
