Kellam linebacker Stephen Copeland made his college decision and announced it on Twitter tonight as the Knights' senior standout will play his college football at Elon University.

The 6-foot-3, 233-pounder is a big hitter and a monster on the second level of the defense projecting as a middle linebacker.

"I'm a run stopper. My strength is plugging holes. I consider myself a true middle linebacker," Copeland told VirginiaPreps.com in a June interview.

What are his top strengths? "I'm good at reading where the ball will be, not to mention that I love to hit 'em hard and take the running back's will."

A star off the field as well, Copeland currently carries a 3.5 grade point average and he scored a 1460 on the SAT. Once he makes it to college, Copeland plans to study engineering. "I love planes and everything about them, so my line of engineering would be in that field, aeronautical or aviation, with a minor in business."
